I think that if you want to survive as a warrior type you need to practice, practice, practice... Also, if you get your ass beat nearly to death (or to death for that matter) than you shouldn't be able to get up and run back into battle.

Some of the things in the game that add realism aren't very pleasant at all but I wouldn't have it any other way.
