Equipment does make a difference. What I think most people
are trying to get across is that it's no substitute for training
and honing skills along with playing smart. That means getting
weapons, skills etc honed and then deciding which fights to start
or stay in if attacked. Also knowing weaknesses of classes and races.
A player who has trained and knows strengths/weakness will be better
off than a guy with a great set of eq and no idea how to make it useful.
Of course there's always the guy who knows what he's doing and has a
great set of eq to go along with it. That's the guy you either stay
away from, become friends with, or gather a group and gang bang (the latter
I think is cheesy, but hey everyone's doin it)
