Im bored, so i'll toss this out..

How about some new commands, open to everyone. Block/unblock and Push.

block
unblock (stop blocking an entrance)

Block lets you block an entrance, so that the people in your pk-
range (and not in your group) cannot pass. I can see an anti-
paladin blockin the only exit from a room, telling you to give
him all your stuff or you will die. Or suddenly two thieves step
out of the shadows blocking both exits from the wizards shop..
"Hand over yer coins, lad.." well, something like that. Or a
paladin has you cornered in a cave.. "Yield, foul imperial!".
Perhaps keeping a criminal at bay until the arbiters can get there
without breaking the law by attacking? The emperor wants a word
with an annoying maran.. send your minions to keep him at bay
somewhere!

Blocking an entrance only keeps people from moving through it from
the room you are in, and would not keep people from entering the
room you are in through the exit you are watching ( you are too
focused on watching for people trying to leave ). If the blocker
is engaged in combat, he would stop blocking automaticly ( your
running around the room parrying, dodging and trying to whack some
poor guy, you cant be watching no doorway! ).

push

And there's push.. You attempt to push past the person(s) blocking
a doorway. The success would be dependant on size/str/dex/class of
the involved parties.. a gnome is not going to stop a giant from
passing through ( Q: If a 1000lbs gorilla goes to the movies, where
would he sit? A: Wherever he wants to ). A very dextrous person
would have an easy time sliding past the blocker, or a strong person
could push the blocker out of the way. And a human wizard and a
human fighter might have similar stats and the same size, but the
fighter would have no trouble stoping the wizard from walking through,
or pushing past the wizard. And more than one person may block an
exit ( and *two* gnomes are still not going to block a giant! Maybe
.. 10 gnomes? ).

A successfull push would result in freedom and lagging the blocker
( the blocker is lying in a corner trying to get up! ). A failed
push would result in combat and lag for the pusher.

Now, what'ya think? Pointless? Usefull? Stupid?
