I don't know that people really accused you of cheating so much as they did of hoarding eq. Although eq hoarding isn't technically against the rules, I think it's generally considered bad form to get a set of super-nifty eq and then not leave your guild for X months. I've only seen your character for a few seconds anyhow, so I can't make any accusations either way.
