People liked me. People liked Woru -- a lot. People liked Ahrdra, Justin, Matheus, Jaldean, Jarindyl, Parin, and a host of others that I can't recall off the top of my head. Being a good Arbiter and being well-liked (or at least well-respected) are not mutually exclusive.
Also, you'll notice that most of the people I named were good, with a few neuts thrown in. Most Evil arbiters -- no matter how good they may be at their job -- don't tend to be liked much. See Golmagus and Astein, both of whom I have bucketloads of respect for, player-to-player, even though character-to-character Stellyx didn't/doesn't like them much.
This is not to say anything about you; I don't know you from a hole in the ground. I'm just saying that being unpopular doesn't mean that you're a good arbiter, any more than being a good arbiter necessarily means that you'll be unpopular.
