My little Maran's mortal body failed him.
He died of extreme old age while fighting his most evenly-matched opponent, Shinkoujinei, one-on-one-on-four-revenants in the Scarab Temple. I couldn't have planned a better way for Khiravn to go and rejoin his precious Maran Tarabal. Shin, you said some words, too, that were pretty heartfelt, and generous at the time. I wish I had a log.
Anyway, Khiravn was my last character, and I guess that brings to a close a good four years of playing Carrion Fields. I'm a little sad, because I'll miss it. It was a huge amount of fun, but I think I've done all I wanted to do as a mortal on CF, and if I rolled another character, it'd end up being just like Khiravn (arguably all my characters were like Khiravn). I just had *one* goal for him: to one day log on and see:
[MARAN] An Immortal: 'lo
just once before he died of old age, but I knew he probably wasn't going to last. You have to admit, though, I helped put up a pretty good argument for the Maran as a stand alone cabal.
Thanks, alot, to everyone I've met. When you all aren't whining and raving and ranting and being mean-spirited, you're pretty damn fun to play with. :P

Khir was probably the closest I've had to a successful character. I just went for it with everything I had. You might remember the others, you might not, but, if you do *grins* send me an email and lemme know who you were, I always think that's interesting, and funny to discover.
