It has been put forward a few times, that it would help people grow as rpers, and thus make the game better, if imms would simply TELL potential empowerees when they were Not worthy.
An immortal giving a simple note saying(your not getting empowered, here is why)would have two affects.
1)Not make somone waste 40-50 hours of real life on a dead end character(this benefits neither the player, or the mud)
2)Allowing the person to roll a new char, and try to fix his rp in a positive manner.
Now, I agree that empowerment is a good idea.
and I have only had trouble once with empowerment(a while ago) and I know what my problem was. So I do not have much experience with this, but I have hears so many horror stories of players trying to get empowered for like 2 months straight with absolutly NO feedback, I dont think that kind of "in the dark" opperation helps anyone, least of all the Game.
