Well if you are talking about air majors. You can strangle 1. and then leave them sleeping. You can blind them with dust that will stop them from flying to you then fleeing. Dirt or dust and make a run for it. Do attacks that can start the fight, don't stand around being a victim letting them start the fight. Hope that helps a bit.
