Some of the smaller weapons can be paired up by weapons specialists. Things like huge axes however, cannot be. A pair of smaller type axes could, or a large, and a small. Soulslayer is 50lbs, Shockwave is 35 I think, those are two VERY heavy weapons, even for a giant. Try finding a smaller axe to compliment your larger one, there's plenty of good axes out there, you've just got to know where to look.
