The assassins chance to parry against an axe is just a bit above zero. First of all, assassins can't use axes, therefore don't know the finer point of parrying them. Secondly, most assassins use either sword or dagger neither of which are good weapons to use for parrying an axe. The only thing an axe specialist would have to do is make sure they either have plenty of +str eq or use light axes.
