When you summon a nightgaunt you don't direct it, that happens when you bind it.

So it's

c 'conjure nightgaunt' mana (I put in no extra)

then the bind with the person that it's going after

I just got unlucky and had the bastard attack me, now why your charmies autoassisted the nightgaunt I don't know.

There are still conjurer bugs that have to be worked out, this I know for sure. However, since the last bug that I reported(that being the fact that ghost-infravision is fucked and you still can't see your corpse or anything else besides the room you're in until daylight) wasn't fixed, I haven't reported any others.
