Bah, it all started with Carrion Fields. People have been gangbanging ever since the mud was first opened. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Personally I like the challenge of a cabal like Empire, who are allowed to use dirty tricks. When you win, you feel so much better, because you won against the odds.
Contrary to what many believe, Empires weakness are not in their lack of powers. They are weak in comparison to other cabals, but if they are used well, and if the sects collaborate, they are deadly. Empires weakness lie in the fact, that 90% of the people inducted there are newbies or morons. Empire is a cabal anyone can get into, but that means a gangbang is possible to defeat, because the chance of the people executing the gangbang knowing the right tactics to use is very small. Another weakness is that the sects is encouraged to compete. This means that citizens can't always work together. Sometimes they will just have to live without the backup of their cabal.
