The primary reason is that the locations of
the wands are a big secret, which can only be
discovered originally through exploration, or
by having someone tell you where they are.
The wands however are so powerful, that it is
specifically warned that if too many people
learn the location of the wands (ie run and
tell all their friends, let alone post it to
the Web here) the wand locations will be
changed, as has happened in the past.
Thus, when people learn those locations, they
tend to remain quiet about it.
