if you don't want to be part of a cabal, why don't you preach your religion and increase membership..
that way you'll have more people of the same religion to buddy up with, and if your lucky you might get such things as a religious channel, like a cabal channel :->

the sheer fact that you are tattooed by them already should ensure you are already carrying out actions
on their behalf already, a cabal isn't going to change that..especially when it's populated by those of every other religion.
maran and scarabs don't get on, neither do selric and zulghinours i'd imagine, etc etc.
