In zmud, it is possible to make a trigger that will shoot the command to zmud to open an existing log(start logging, adding to it, not overwriting) and then make a trigger that will stop logging to the log, without closing the log, so that the same log is opened again and added to next time.
I am no computer genious, and not at my home comp to work it out on zmud, so I can not give you the exact wording for the trigger, but I know it is possible because I have done it before.
