Are you sure they know you're lagging when they attack? I'd agree it's pretty frustrating if they kill you and go through with it. Because once you start the attack...unless you throw in a lot of sstuff that lags your opponent, it is easy to see that the person might not be all there.
As for those people that do kill people even when they know they are lagged....
I see it like this. they start the attack...then they see that you aren't fighting back...at all...but they figure that hey..I'm gonna get an easy kill out of this, and they get excited...and at that point they don't consider the fact that it is pretty low down..they just are too caught up in the moment of victory to care.
Now there are exceptions, some people will stop fighting if they see you are not putting any kind of a fight, and that's commendable, but hey..you certainly can't expect that from everyone.
