> Take the empire that everyone is having a go at at the moment. Quinthen (I do not care what people say) brought the current empire up to standard again. Which is now dying again to the point of extinction. I swear people will do the rounds of the cabals before they go back to Empire as the last resort. It was starting to flourish before the immortals stepped in. Last time I was in the empire (recently) I logged on and now one was ther in my pk range who was imperial(This went on for at least 5 ranks if not more). This I believe is the foolish 15th level principle of Jorin which doesn't allow the Empire to trap members young before they think of joining Masters etc. Why did it flourish under Quinthen? Because he seemed to be a great leader(imms also kept there nose out). Now Jorin seems to be a likeable leader but I do not think he will great nor will Quinthen ever be remembered as legendary.
Perhaps I've been a bad Emperor so far. Hopefully, I can make up for that. However, first of all, the Empire fell alot in the time between Quinthen immorting and my becoming Emperor, so I didn't get it in exactly perfect shape to start with. Yes, I wasn't around much in the last week due to connection problems, but I'm back and will be now.
As for your comments about "my" foolish 15th level principle, that really marks you as a fool. That rule has been part of the Empire since long, long before me or Quinthen, since before Istendil even. I didn't write it, I didn't set it, so don't blame it on me. That said, I do agree with it. Level 15 is quite low in the scheme of things. You're only required to choose your sphere by 11th, you're only allowed to pkill at 11th, you only even see your hit/dam at 15th... you're expected to have ranked a bit and have some time invested in a character before joining a cabal. I'd be much more annoyed if people started rolling up chars, getting oathed at 1st level, then decided their rolls were bad or something and started again.
