Hmm. Rather than go into a long discourse, be sure of your facts regarding freedom of speech and internet freedoms. Regarding property rights being "essential to the proper functioning of a democratic system," I believe you will need to be a bit more explicit in this approach and again I suggest you be sure you know what a democracy entails, and to which nation you refer. - Just a suggestion
Regarding this Forum: I agree that the providor of this avenue has the right to do as his/she pleases and add, modify and/or remove any and all things as desired as permitted by the owner(s) of his/her ISP, again subject to further rules by varying groups, offical or public interest. All of which are subject to elected officials (see electoral college, and not public vote), and changing social morality. Quite a democracy?
Sorry about he wandering. I do feel the forum is a wonderful place full of information and tales of horror and wonder. For that I say thankyou.
> Let's say I own a business in America. You, a loud moron, come into my business and begin yelling. Nothing obscene, nothing threatening, but you're yelling. Guess what? I have the legal right to tell you to leave, and get the police to do it if you will not comply. You don't even have to be yelling- if you quietly insult an employee, they can ask you to leave as well.

> Why? Because you are on my property. Because I own that place of business, and I can choose to admit who I want, subject to laws. You are free to express your opinion, but you are -not- free to violate someone else's property to do so.

> Dioxide's forum is private property. He pays to maintain it. He does not have to let you post anything. He is well within his legal rights to ban your dumb ass. Property rights are essential to the proper functioning of a democratic system.
