Seriously though, how likely is it that 15 bards, born entertainers, would completely give up the show, the bright lights and ale, to focus their efforts on killing magic? I seriously doubt, considering the collective intelligence that has become a grand joke regarding battlerager rp, that those "barbarians" would be at all interested in sitting quitely watching somebody sing a song. They'd rather be out smashing heads. Again I bring up the olden armies, they had one, maybe two drummer boys to keep the marching procession in step, not 35.
Actually, you don't have to give up these things to be a Battle Bard (or Skjald), if you choose not to. As always, it is the individual player's choice as to how they want their character to act. However, if you are not playing a character in Battle right now, I don't see how you can say, with any degree of certainty, that these bards are not doing their "job" within the confines of the Cabal. Although (in semi-agreement with what you are saying) I would love to see a more Battle Bards publishing their works to the rest of Thera, whatever those works may be. That hasn't happened for a while.
