All of these ideas for Paladins going around.
Spheremaker at least saying 'I did not say evil will have the only uber-class'.
The problem with finding a way to have a good class that can compete toe-to-toe with a Lich, without having some sort of Transformation.
These things have gotten me to thinking.
What is the difference between the niches that paladins and good shamans are supposed to fill? Slim to none. And slim isn't here.
Other than a difference in tactics, we have basically a redundancy of a "crusader for your imm" for the lightwalkers.
So Here is what I would like to see. I would like to see some differentiation between evil and good shaman. And I would like paladins to be done away with, and good shaman's made more paladinesque, Making a class that is an amalgamation of good shaman and paladin.
I will expand with some specific Ideas on how to differentiate when I get home from work, but here are a few basics.
Evil Shaman, lose the power to supp any beneficial supp on anyone else(word/fly/aristaeia etc.)
Good shaman, gain the power to sanc/heal/bless/frenzy others, lose rot/wither/plague, gain gate, gain lay hands, make turn undead so that it has a chance to hold the undead, freeze the negative force that animates the corpse, instead of making them flee, gain righteousness.
rough draft, tell me what you think, what you would change
