If I'm going to spend even 20 mins following someone and stalking them
the whole time I think that's plenty of lag. Think about it. If someone
tries to assassinate a political figure etc.. are they just going to stand
around after the attempt? Hmm perhaps they'll stand there contemplating why
they missed or hit. Perhaps pondering over the moral implications of it all.
A good assassin stalks unseen, hits fast and is gone before his "victim" can
react. A better assassin does the first two then quickly collects what armor
he needs and is gone before the corpse can start cooling.
