Horror stories of rager gang bangs are rampant, but rather than report these 'continuous' events, vauge comments get posted here
Why are they rampant?
Why are the posted on the forum ALL THE FRICKEN TIME.
People are just sick of hearing whines about "this person did this and shouldn't have."
So why does it keep getting posted.
I will tell you.
People post these things...in a subconscious effort to see justice done...if not in the game, then at least in a concensus that they have been Wronged.
Alright, that being said...why do people post again and again, why do these rumors keep coming back up again and again.
I will tell you.
Because when they post a grief against bad rp, most people flame them. But that is not the problem. The problem is that while people are flaming them for posting a flame, most of them, either inadvertantly or on purpose, actively SUPPORT the perpetrator.
I am not talking about ragers ganging mages in a war, I am not talking about groups fighting groups, I am talking about valid complaints of ANYONE, rager sylvan empire baron arby neutral, breaking the rp that they claim to follow.
These posts where the person just wants to bring it to the general attention that hypocrites are out there, get flamed for whining, for complaining about things that they are not even complaining about, and the hypocrite is defended.
What do I mean?
I see this ALL the time on the forum.
Someone posts complaining about someone breaking rp in some way, four people post about how that should not be on the forum, two people post how they are sick of people complaining about things not being "fair", 4 people saing that you should ignore Unfair things in the game at all costs, and 4 people saing that you should roll the same char as the perp' and show him how it is done.
None of those replies even comes close to actually addressing the thing that caused the person to post in the first place.
So the next time something similar happens, the person will post again, and again, for a few reasons. To show the unbelieving masses that no, he is not just immagining it. To try to get his point accross one more time...inevitably to fail in the hail of posts condemning him and upholding the perp.
How do we stop this viscious cycle?
Instead of flaming the poster for posting things he is not really posting, and not really addressing the thing that is making him post in the first place, all you angry masses have to do is say this.
"Ok, you were wronged, perp is bad, nothing we can do about it."
That would satisfy the poster's subconsious desire for justice and to be believed. It would stop the endless "whiney" posts that all of you flamers love to jump upon and flame with your form flames, wether they apply to the post or not.
Sorry for the rambling, Its just this is a point that I needed to addresse, because noone else would.
