Question about airforms

Question about airforms:

I've heard airforms can't fly indoors.
What exactly does that mean?
If I get into the building in town, will they be able to fly to me?
And if I close the door?
If I go underground(sewers)?
Also I've heard a falcon can get to more places than an eagel..
Can someone enlighten me on these things?
