At level 32, I have about 500 hps, because assassins get relatively bad hp gains. A dual backstab with daggers the exploit a racial weakness (or even if they don't) is gonna wipe me out or at least send me screaming out of the area.

The point, thieves shouldn't go toe to toe with assassins... throw only takes you out like a trip, so flee and knife, or flee and blackjack... and, most importantly, be the first to strike.
