Think of it this way. Say you have a mob (mafia, you goddamn CF addicts) boss, he's the head of one of the most feared organizations in the world. If people who he couldn't harm, say, cops or something, saw him in the street they wouldn't respect him, they'd probably try to offend him out of disrespect or fear, because he can't touch them.

You're the head of Arbiters. Your goonies are meant to maintain the law in Thera, but in other people's eyes, your goonies kill them because they a) thought they could get away with attacking in town, b) were framed, doppled, and were innocent yet killed (this happens a lot by the way).. Only a rare percent know what they get into when they become Wanted.

You can't expect people to see it from your side because their own selfish needs prevent them from acknowledging that what you did was for the good of the game.. These people are usually newbies, with only a rare percent being people who actually know how to roleplay a bad character or a nature-lover.. These newbies transfer their hatred for your organization to their other characters; some don't even realize it. So they pick on you when they're nice and low and can't get killed or defamed for it.

And let's face it.. Though it may sound unfair to others and appears to be an opinion of mine, I can say with certainty that those players who let little things get to them like dying to an Arbiter never make it that far in life. They restart with other characters, and the same cycle of death, deletion, semi-hard work, death, frustration, deletion keeps on revolving.. What you have is many lowbie characters with only a small percent of the MUD in their low to mid 30's to hero.

Maybe this doesn't make much sense to you since I'm in a hurry and writing this as fast as possible, but if I were you I'd be flattered that you can inspire such fear and hatred indirectly to people who have probably never directly came into contact with you. And I'm sure you knew what you were getting into, at some point you were probably another newbie/lowbie who was killed and decided to lash out..

Now I can sit back and let the flames roll in. Well, that, or confused people who are trying to decypher my poor grammar.
