Look I've only been playing a little while, but I see Ragers like this. OKAY they can't use magic at all, these pills and potions and herbs or whatever, are not magic themselves but they have magic effects i.e some enlarge you and make you giant, some make you fly and some make you recall. Now since they have magic effects ragers can't use them cos they hate magic and that would defile themselves.
As for poultrice (SP?) thats completely different, the herbs used in it do not have magic effect, they simply cleanse the wound and make it heal slightly faster. Think of it like a band aid or maybe detol (again SP?)
well thats my take on it anyway. I'm sure if I'm wrong some out there that has been playing longer than 4 months will tell me.
