If you cannot handle responsibly choosing an appropriate amount of time to play a game, then I commend you on your luck. I say this because it is clear that you have never had actual hardship in your life, and instead choose to claim that some evil computer program is making you log in and ruin your life, and this is the biggest hurdle you must overcome in your life. I play CF because I enjoy it. I am healthy, my social life is just fine, and I am doing quite well in my chosen trade. I enjoy the game and the forum. What is the problem?

> Would you thank someone for framing you, getting you sent to jail for a few years, those years wasted? That is what a MUD does to those who abuse their real lives and those around them to satisfy their addictive lust for this text-based game.

> There is no need to thank them for putting up with the crap. A MUD is a two way street: without them it wouldn't exist, without the players it wouldn't exist. A MUD is not only what the Immortals make it, it is what the player base makes it.

> Is it though? Is it really worth the drop in your GPA? Spending years more than required to pass a course, settling for a job you used have nightmares about before you were introduced to this text-based game? Is it really worth flushing yourself down the social pipeline, abandoning friends to have them do the same? Is it really worth putting an hour/a day of MUD'ing over a day spent actually achieving something?
