Some pretty good ideas on how to bypass the firewall setup. Bypassing a computer system to allow you access to something that is normally forbidden is also called 'hacking'. If you work for a real company, and your efforts are done in a non-elegant fashion, you will be caught and possibly fired. I have no problem with hacking or pushing the envelope in order to get what you need, just make sure you are aware of the risks.
