I'm actually agreeing wholeheartedly with Thormakar. Huh. (little text):

Not so long ago, I had two roles thought up: my current character, and one who would be Empire bound. I bounced around a few pros and cons, but I can assure you that the deciding factor was exactly what Thormakar said.

And yes, Graham, when you design a role that fits closely with the Empire's ideals, becoming Anathema will often destroy the character, or at least force you to do some major restructuring. For the role I had written up, Anathema would mean delete;delete. I'd hate to use all of that time (invoker), just to bail halfway.

I'm the first to say that the Empire should be strict, and kick the ass of anyone who screws up, but recently it seems the pendulum has swung too far towards the quick Anathema flag.

> actually...,no,the problem mainly is that everyone is afraid of entering the empire only to be anathematized for no good reason and getting a perfectly good char destroyed.
