I think Galadon is the most popular hometown because it was grandfather claused in when Galadon replaced Midgaard.

Solution: Have a comet smash Galadon into a smoking crater, remove Midgaard from the past and replace with Galadon, and then over time remove the crater, create a crossroads with a trading post (and perhaps the Inn). People will have to chose other hometowns. It will at the very least be an interesting experiment to find out which of the other hometowns becomes the most popular.
