I think you just answered your own question with those 5 reasons, those are pretty big ones. I personally like to just sit back and watch the wackiness that goes on in galadon...it's kind of like New York City...something's bound to happen. I know this sounds pathetic, but taking one of those out of the way spots is kind of 'lonely'. One thing that might close the gap is some kind of 'gossip' channel. Like the newbie, but open to all ranks. Yeah, it's got its problems...but...just a thought. That way some newbie who picks Arkham and wonders why nobody is around can get advice/help from others, just just other newbies.
It's just more convenient for grouping....that would be a big reason for me...many times if people are looking for groupies, they'll see who's available in Galadon first, otherwise it's kind of annoying to 'tell' each one in your pk list that you're looking to group.
Hmm, maybe to alleviate this, instead of or addition to a gossip channel, there could be a 'looking for work' channel. Or something.
