I have been choosing Galadon for all my character
for a long time, but now I am thinking changing
of place. There is no particular reason, just
depending on what my role and description will be.
Though, the main reasons to choose Galadon is in
my opinion :
1) In the middle of thera with New Thalos
2) Easy to find a group when newbie
3) Auction (lots of stuff to get)
4) Arbiters protection (when they are there)
5) Shops (diversity of the products)
6) Guilds (All the guilds)
--------------------------------------
------THEORY OF CITIES DIVERSITY------
First of all, maybe it's not a good idea to
implement that, though here is the first concept.
When we born, we dont know in which city our
parents are. I think it should be CF, after our
character generation, which decided, depending
on our races, class and on the traffic there is
between the towns, the place were we will emerge.
Let's set up the exemple :
I want to create a Elf Conjurer
The normal chance to emerge in a town when we are an : ELF
Galadon 18%
New Thalos 12%
Darsylon 45%
Ofcol 25%
Then, we eliminate the place where there is
NO transmuter guild (I dont know which one dont
have a conjurer guild but let's do this an exemple).
In ofcol there is no Conjurer guild and let's say
there is none in Galadon.
Then the percentage is recalculate between the
two last towns.
New Thalos 28%
Darsylon 72%
Then, let's say CF rolled up Darsylon, your character
born in Darsylon (period). This is a good thing
because peoples would be everywhere around thera.
Per another exemple, on earth, if you have a white
skin, you have more chance to born or in europe or
north america. If you have a black skin, you have
more chance to born in africa. If you have a yellow
skin, you have more chance to born in asia. Why thera
shouldnt be like that ?
OR another though, when someone born and live
for let's set 20 years in a region or a little
town and not in a great town, peoples change thier
hometown in order to get a job. A lot of time they
return in thier old gotto but some other will stick
in the big town.
In some way, thinking of the last though, 30% of
the peoples should born outside major town. Which
is another percentage to add to what we just did.
But what is a major town ? Major towns would change,
depending on the number of characters associated with
a town.
There is a problem in CF about races and towns,
NOBODY is proud of where they are coming from.
Nobody care about any discussions, or problems
or day news of each towns. We dont responsible
for our country.
[In conclusion] So depending on the time we create
a character, there would be different chance to
appear in a different town.
The variable would be :
- Races
- Class
- Town or region
- Towns (capital, city, town, village) per crowd living within
Then you have a thera that is more diversified.
You know the peoples will most of the time, not
chance thier hometown, so it will populate the
other towns. If you dont want to live in that city,
you get yourself the gold and go in the town you
like. Immortals/mortal interaction are always possible!
You know it's like in the real life, if you can't
live in your little town because you have a job
elsewhere, or another personnal reason, you get
the cash, your stuff and change town.
Dont look at the grammar stuff, english isnt my
" homelanguage " maybe I should pay to change it ? :-)
