The reason I don't think it would work, is that I often have a fairly complete role thought up before I ever create a character. For my current character, the hometown figured into the story, so I would prefer if it was my actual hometown.

Aside from that, I'd like to see that randomized, if only to occasionally force people to poke around some of the less known towns, as well as depopulating Galadon a bit.
