I'm not saying do mass inductions, bitch. But look at your numbers. You're getting your asses kicked. There are good people that want into your Cabal, but you aren't letting them in because they're too lazy. Forget that. Let Nepenthe handle them when they *DO* get in. Empire seems so much more of an appealing option for people because they don't want to wait through your quests and interviews to get in. People never see you!
Okay well how can I fix that? Oh I know I no longer ask how many spells you have perfected. Well what about the ones that are too stupid or lazy to do a quest that pertains to magic? Guess I could take away those quest.
Again, this should be evaluated in one interview. If you think they need a quest, give it to them. People that are smart shouldn't have to go through that quest. It has nothing to do with laziness. How fun is a quest for you when you know you can get into Battle or Empire in a moment and join the fight?
Hmm.. Let's see. Well damn what else can I do? All I require of my applicants is that they spend enough time in the realms to find a hero or a spectre to recomend them and that really isn't that hard.
It is when you're constantly getting your asses kicked. Masters are rarely (if ever on) in force.
For those that have been through my interviews all I call for is you can half-ass role play and show some intelligance. When you spend 3 out of the 4 hours playing trying to keep a part of your being safe then yes, it makes it a bit hard to do interviews. If you lack the dedication and patience to wait then I don't think you have what it takes to be in the tower.
Dedication and patience, my ass. No, there are people that honestly want to restore Master to being a force again. If that to you requires we wait around a month, then fuck you.
No, I am not the best leader-character to ever fill the shows of head of the tower. No, I am not an elitist or always right. I do however feel that I do what I can for the tower and I won't do 10 minute mass inductions just to fill the tower's quota.
Again, I'm not saying do a "mass induction". Did Dhaevor bother? Nope. Did Alodar (one of the better leaders of Master) bother? Nope. Don't waste our time with bullshitting through other people's interviews, don't waste our time practicing 5-10 spells at low levels, because that just sucks. Put yourself in the lowbie's shoes. One of your hero players told me it took them a month to get to see you. Is that dedication to your Cabal? Bullshit.
If that is what you are looking for try out for empire. If you have about an hour to spare and wish to try out for the tower then step right up.
