Back when I was a newbie (before I realized I was almost always the infamousey "THIRD"), there was a guy who's rp was that his char was deaf...what he did was get an imms attention, and have them effectively make his char deaf and mute, only able to use emotes and group tells...At least that is what I think happened.

My point is, if it is part of your rp, and you ask really nicely, and it is normally actually considered a hinderance to play/pk, then an imm can do pretty much most of what you can think up. including making you deaf.
