Though the secrets of Transform may well be known, since I dont know for sure I wont say much. But as an invoker mana is your health points. In a way at least. More so as a Master. If you are a gnome I would say burn some of those many trains on mana. But, something else to consider. You will probably die quite a bit. And saving a few trains will do you well to keep that ol con up there.

But besides that. As a mage, hit points arent as important as mana. You should avoid being hit, and be able to dish out plenty. An extra hundred mana points or something will do you good.

Another suggestion, learn where plenty of + mana items are.

Invokers are fun, and a hell of a lot of work. The way I looked at it was this analogy (weak as it may be)

Invokers are like unarmored artillery (before shields of course) the amount of mana you have is like the amount of shells you can fire. So you have to ask yourself...do you want to lay down more fire? Or do you want to be able to take a bit more damage. And since as a mage you will probably not be involved in many frontal physical assaults, your shells may be more important.

Play around. Save the trains till you kinda get a feel for it yourself.

Well...my opinion.
