1) For the most part, you don't ask for quests. The best way to get one is simply to go about your business, roleplay exceptionally well, and be active. Don't guild-sit, level-sit, or slip out of character, even if you think no one is looking. If you do this, and make a name for yourself, an IMM will eventually take notice.

2) Just because the IMM is evil doesn't mean that they won't empower/quest/take interest in you. Neither religion is incompatible with a properly played good-aligned character.
