Now I have had my share of ass-woopin's by almost every character in the Battle Ragers (I play a lot of chars, so sue me). I have noticed that they truly aren't overpowered, except for one thing. No, not resistance, no, not that bitchy deathblow, and no, nor bloodthirst, critical strike, double block, nor anything else except for this nasty nasty spellblocker. Yes, you guessed it, spellbane. To help them at Hero ranks, they need it...now to my point.
I don't see how one is supposed to kill a rager except for communers (it go through spellbane? dunno) or bards. As a low level mage...a bash is all you need to know your gonna die to most anyone, you just know that in those high levels you can pay them back, but not so true anymore. Mages have gotten a real KICK in the ass lately...wands moving all over, no more sanc herbs, I completely understand those, but making spellbane work almost every fucking time, it's too much.
I play a mid ranked necro who had a horde of elite storm giant warriors. Now, at those ranks you'd think, damn yo, Im gonna beat some fucking ass yo. I still got killed by 4 ragers cause it was so honorable of them all to attack me, even after I fled and left my zombies, fucking prick. Now anyway, what truly is another mage supposed to do? Invokers, spellbane with bloodthirst just rid them of everything they can do...conjurers have a chance, but their elementals get blocked. Necros can have a horde of zombies, but they'll get beat...
I don't know what Im talking about I just know that there is nothing a mage can do anymore but die to a rager. What are we supposed to do, get mad resistances and just hope our 1-2 attacks a round can finish them off?
If Im totally wrong here, please, dear god, give me hints, I've been playing here for a very long time and I still suck, so come, give me tips...I need them.
Another point, if a spell actually goes in, unless its a damage spell, who says it'll even work to begin with? (ex. weaken, poison, those types)
