> Don't know if you agree with me on this : I've noticed there are a lot of orphaned adventurer in Thera. Parents died, no siblings, trying to make ends meet, survive, find fame and become somebody. Usually the parents are also adventurers and would die an early age, leaving the poor baby to fend himself or with a relative/friend who will teach him skills/spells. Lately, no marriage scroll has been sent. Makes you wonder where the babies come from. Maybe after the Enforcer encounter, the guards would come home alive to their wives and make more babies for people like us to RP.

Well specificaaly in regards to someone's role containing trauma of some sort I would have to say you have to ask yourself why does this character become an adventurer? Why does he forsake a stable home and family? Why does he open himself to attack and become murderous. More specifically, why would someone sell their soul for dark magic and fighting skils like an antipaladin? Why would someone take up a sword and go off into the twilderness and fight large monsters? I agree that there should be lots of variety to roles, but the trauma thing is not a bad reason to adventure, even if you may think it is over used. i think that maybe as far as having a more common traumatic childhood role that is better than having no role at all.
