I am a warrior, dual wielding. I am in combat. I am disarmed.
To save my life, I try to 'wear shield' because my weapon has been picked
up by someone. The message given at this command is 'You can not wear
a shield while using something in that hand', or something like this
So I have to flee, remove hammer (my remaining weapon), wear hammer,
wear shield, to wear my friggin shield.

This has happened before, man it's painful to die because of
some bug in the coding.

I was wielding two forge hammers. Of course ... now I wield nothing

Follow Ups:

Just type wear shield twice. The first time, when you get the message, moves your offhand into your primary slot. It will work the second time. n/t Ludi 20:16:14 5/6/2000 (0)

  - it does it because it would be alot more annoying to be disarmed, pick it up and find you can't wield it, it's too heavy to dual wield...... Graham 07:39:51 5/6/2000 (1)
