The only ragers I've ever met have been the ones who kill me (and I'm almost ALWAYS a warrior), refuse to speak afterward, and kill someone else I know two minutes later... but they NEVER join for the powers...

If your char fits in those guidelines, though, you should be fine.. barbar or no.
