In real life you come across people who you won't get along with and you may play for the same sports team, work for the same department/company/employer. This is human nature and so it should be reflected in the game. Not all battleragers are going to like each other. Ghim never liked drow and so was biased, Abernyte did not like the weak or the cowardly but they all hated magic and so they fought for the same goals. Hrabilan was my last evil rager and he hated storm giants and so he would shoot their comments down when he could and unless it was putting the village in danger he would not bother his arse to protect them. This made him unpopular with them, so what. All this is going somewhere and I think if I turn this next literary corner we might see the finish line....ahh yes. Minalcar is an evil SOB, follower of a Demon of HELL. He is not going to really care that much if a younger, less experienced rager gets trounced and experiences pain but on the other hand the young villagers don't have to take his word as Law, the tablet states that you should show respect etc to the mortal leader and the IMMs of the cabal and to a certain degree the Vets as they are the arms and hands of the leader. Minalcar is none of these and if you disagree with him, have backbone enough to say and show your courage to face him down. If you feel this will have repercussions then you can send a scroll to the leader and he can decide an appropriate action or make a booking to settle the argument in the rites, if and when , you are a hero of the village.
I, myself, don't raid other cabals if its instant death and the items will be retaken, moreso because I hate to see the giant and the youngsters culled but that's the way my character is (he is not evil or a follower of a Hell DEMON) so i hope I haven't waffled too much and you get the gist of what I am saying and the witchhunt on the forum can stop.
Minalcar is and will always make solid ragers and although we have not always agreed in the past I will always respect the effort that he puts into his ragers. I can't help it, I just love anything that makes the ragers solid.
