I've played a couple warriors in my day, even a dwarf at one time. Unfourtunatly my dwarf never did anything, but don't let that stop YOU.

One of the best tanks I've ever seen was a svirf pole spec. Yes, believe it or not. At 33rd rank he could tank aridhol trollocs. Believe it or not. I was a druid at the time, and barely healing him at all. My point? Your not too small to wield polearms, they are an excellent spec for just about any race.

The problem with polearms is that they are a little hard to find, and a little harder to find when your not evil. (rules a lot out, in my opinion) The same is true with maces, again my opinion. There isn't a lot in the mid-range. They are either awesome, or shitty. (with the exception of a couple) And there again not as easy to come across. HOWEVER there are many many benefits to boneshatter and cranial, even for a dwarf.

I think any warrior should have either polearm, mace or whip. Dwarves aren't good with whips, so go with those two. Though if I were you (and a newbie again) I'd go polearm, then axe. Whirl is nice and pincer is better. I've seen some nasty things done with Pincer. Axes are easy to come by at any rank.

IN CONCLUSION: Polearm and mace are great, do the polearm first. Consider axes and polearm next time.
