I've never enjoyed my imperials characters for similiar reasons. Too many wimps and there's really no sense in being in a cabal. There are villagers who show up and put forth some effort but they are few and far between. The village 'needs' to get the shit kicked out of it. The heroes in it had grown too self appreciative since they were stacked and pretty much waylayed whoever they wanted. It also lead to them taking their legs out from under them.
