I think they do just fine with their powers.
They can send others to safety with succor, grant protection with golden aura, take away suffering with altruism and grant protection to others also with guard. What else do they need? The Dawn's about bringing hope and faith to the world. Roleplaying pretty much covers what they do. More powers really aren't needed.
