Because in REALITY everything is shades of grey...

Look at what you wrote.

Now look at the CF universe.

There is white GREY and black.

If you are GREY, you are neutral. If you are BLACK you are evil.

In the real world, there is good and evil, and a large grey area.

In Thera that large grey area has a name, neutrality. If the captain's portion of your acts are in this grey area...again named "neutrality"...then you are not evil or good...but NEUTRAL.
