Two notes, Graatch.

1) It's called "Avendar" now. :)

2) These skills, while they have similar names to some Avendar skills, really aren't the same thing. I'd be very careful before accusing anyone of plagiarism, especially since all muds are pretty much guilty of plagiarizing from literature and D&D.

For example:

> > Replicate: Allows the thief to create any item as long as he holds the original as well. The duplicate item will be worthless, but would be good for use in trades as well as to cover his own tracks. When used in conjunction with plant, the thief could steal an item, replicate, and plant the counterfeit item back into the inventory, before the person even knew what hit them.

Thieves don't have anything like this on Avendar. Air Scholars have an "illusionary item" spell which is similar, though.

> >
> > Egress: Allows the thief to escape a bad situation regardless of his environment. If he's in a locked room with a necromancer that summoned him he might still be able to egress through a hole or weak spot in the wall. Can be used as a command or automatically when the thief is getting the beat down. Might occur automatically when the thief "sure is BLEEDING" for instance.

Nothing like this on Avendar.

> > Trip wire: Can be used two ways. As a silent alarm or as a means to actually trip up somebody. Silent alarm is self-explanatory. Tripping somebody up would be useful in instances where the thief thinks ahead. He could set it on Eastern Road and hide in the shadows and allow the tripwire to initiate combat for him(allowing him to cheapshot afterwards) or he could use it for a greater prevention of escape. Blackjack/Bind/move a room away/tripwire/come back/backstab/person flees/trips on the wire/thief follows and gets the cheap shot/get all corpse.

Watchers get a skill like this, but not thieves. The relevant watcher helpfile:

Syntax: Tripwire

Tripwire sets up a taut wire across an exit, stunning the unwary who
pass through that way. Flying persons will avoid tripwires.

> > Conceal: Thief places a temporary nolocate flag on something he has stolen. Can be used in conjunction with...

Thieves do get a skill called conceal, but it's not quite like this.

Syntax: Conceal

This skill is used by thieves to hide an item. The item is often
"in plain sight", but still hard to detect by those who are
unaccustomed to seeing hidden things. The target item must be
an object in the thief's inventory

> > Stash: The thief creates a place to stash his belongings or stolen items. Can only be seen by other thieves who are aware of the tell-tale signs of a hidden stash. Only so many items can be stashed in once place before the stash becomes easily recognizable to anybody. This isn't a locker, the stuff won't remain through reboots and crashes, it's just like putting the stuff on the ground, only it'll be somewhat hidden. As the thief gets better at stashing items he'll be able to put more items in the stash

Okay, this is sort of like a bandit skill of the same name, but it's also a pretty obvious thing to do.

Syntax: Stash

Bandits use this skill to stash loot. Stashed items are usually
buried, placed under loose cobblestones, other otherwise covered.
The only way to detect a hidden item is by searching the room. The
target item must be in the bandit's inventory.

See: SEARCH

> > Impede: Highway brigands have been known to impede the passage of wagons using things like fallen rock and trees. Thieves would be able to block a road using the same means, though it might take teamwork depending on the size of the road. Think of it as temporary Centurions that can't be killed. Larger folks might be able to easily move the structures and there is no pk-range when it comes to moving things...though those higher in rank will find it easier than those lower.

Nothing like this on Avendar.

Basically, I think you've jumped to the wrong conclusion in accusing people of plagiarism. That's a pretty serious accusation, and you may want to think carefully about it first.
