It proves you probably shouldn't sit still naked at the pit.
Seriously.
CF is a mean place. Look at the Log Board, and you'll see a log of you gangbanging some poor sap and smoking him in two or three rounds. There isn't alot of gentlemanly conduct going around, and you shouldn't be surprised when it isn't displayed to you. So expect nastiness, and don't sit around naked at the pit. And, re read whereever it is written that "you should not take PKs personally." (I'm paraphrasing).
So, my advice is:
1. Drop link until you cool off.
2. Come back a few days later and regear.
3. Blow that thief away into the netherworld.
4. Chuckle to yourself as you watch that thief drop link like you did a couple days earlier.
