Is there any relation between a phantasmal killer
and your religion? I think it says you're overcome
with fear or something of that sort. My guess is
that your patron deity is trying to get you back
on track with an IC message, that you someway
have gotten astray from who you were once.
I say this based on a little example DMs and GMs
like to use that is a PC priest arriving at his
church and suddenly the candles flickers and
he finds his holy symbol darkened and pale.
