If you glance over at the "cabal powers" section, you'll see that chameleon is one of Sylvan's cabal powers. As there is no stipulation next to it (ala Battle's "defender, scout, berserker" breakdown), you can safely assume that all sylvans get chameleon.
I would caution you, however, on that last part of your statement. Being invisible and camo hardly makes you almost impossible to detect. Camo itself makes you hard to detect, but invisibility adds very little to that.
